Be Inspired: Your Quiet Time With God (Building the Relationship & Closing The Gap)

Every one tries to build a solid relationships with  friends and loved ones daily. Are you also building a stronger relationship with God who knows you more than anyone else in this world.
We are in a new month, being the month of perfection. Things will be perfect if you move closer with the only perfect One, God Almighty who created you.

Hence, we shall be discussing on building a perfect relationship with God. Today, I will talk on “Quiet time with God. It’s going to be in series in order not to give a short but concise post. I know people are not reading a post that is too long.

Today we shall take a look at the following:

What is Quiet time?

Seeking God through our quiet time.

The three things required of us when seeking God.
What is Quiet Time?

Quiet time has been called many things such as morning watch, daily devotions, appointment with God, or personal devotional time. It really doesn’t matter what you call it, as long as you have it regularly.

Your quiet time with God is just daily fellowship with Him through His Word and prayer. It is a time you deliberately set aside to communicate with Him.

The time we have for other things distracts us from having a personal relationship with God. Some believe it’s only on a Sunday they should have time for God. They never know that God have time for them anytime, anyday and anywhere. Just like a friend that said you can call upon God in the toilet, He will answer you because the odour is not smelling before him. But I want to let you know that it’s your sin that irritates Him. Though it sounds so funny but that’s the truth.
Seeking God Through Quiet Time

Jesus said, “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”

What kind of things was He talking about? Things like money, houses, relationships, health, and jobs.

What did He mean by “the kingdom of God”? This means living under the rule of Christ each moment and submitting to His will in all things.
Three Things Required

When Jesus used the word “seek”, He called for three things: Attention, Importance, and Importunity.

Attention: When something of importance is lost, you must leave other things aside and look for for it. No matter matter what you are doing, you will suspend it and seek until you find it. Even if you are doing something else, your mind will still be focused on that important thing you lost. In order for you not to lost it again, you will find a way of keeping. As we all know that missing things is highly valued than when seen every time. Pay attention to God and you will have the right attention needed to succeed in life without any tension.

Pay attention to God and save yourself from hypertension. What I mean is that communicate with God and reveal your heart to Him. Tell Him your worries and fears so that you are less worried. Through your personal relationship with Him, you cast all your worries unto Him for He cares about you.

Importance: There are things important in life but without the fear of God and without the rule of Christ in your life, you will be vulnerable to to the devil. The position, performance, prosperity, and popularity  can be good things when properly used. Your personal relationship with God will help you sustain all these important things in life.

Impotunity: No matter how long it takes, how hard you must work, or what you must rearrange, restore your quiet time with God to its rightful place. You might have given a gap since the time you got that job, I want you to know you can close that gap and get closer to Your creator. Nothing should take the place of God in your life.

Psalm 27:8 says, ‘When You said, “Seek My face, “My heart said to You, “Your face Lord, will I seek”

Therefore you need to set aside the time you meet with Him. The purpose is to help you grow in your personal relationship with God so that you can know Him, love Him, serve Him, and become more like Him.

The more you move closer to God, the more you know Him.

Question for Discussion:
