Sometimes, we would have done what we feel right and forgot to pray for God’s direction. But when we couldn’t succeed at it, we fall back to God in prayer.
There are some parents who have confidence in their children thinking they will succeed because they are very intelligent not knowing that the race is not for the swift. Such children fail examination because they are boasting without committing their efforts into God’s hands.
There are couples that plan but never commit their plans into God’s hands. They don’t know that man proposes but God disposes.
We sometimes fall into the habit of making plans and then asking God to bless them, or praying only in moments of desperation.
It is only God that establish every plan successfully.
One thing I know is that, God strengthen the weak who call upon Him for assistance.
There were examinations which I thought I would not have good grades when I was an undergraduate due to inability to answer all the questions. But instead of worrying so much about it, I surrendered all unto God in prayer to take charge. To the glory of God, I had excellent grades. That’s the power of praying first.
Prayer becomes a priority when we realize that we need God’s help. Before David engaged in battle, he inquire of the LORD, saying, “Shall I go and attack these Philistines?” (1 Samuel 23:2). God gave His approval.
When David’s men felt intimidated by the force of the enemy, David prayed again. God promised him the victory he later claimed.
Does prayer guide your life? Or is it only when trouble arises that you remember to pray?
God wants you to turn to Him in moments of needs. But He also wants you to remember that you need Him all the time.
God wants us to pray before we do anything at all.
May God guide you as you walk through this life. He will help you not to act only by your own wisdom, but to seek His will in every situation.
